New Jersey Marine Terminal in Port Newark

Project Highlights

New Jersey Marine Terminal
Port Newark, New Jersey

Mechanically dredged both Port Elizabeth and Port Newark, removing upwards of 250 cubic yards of material per hour during peak operation

• Sediments were excavated using a 14 cubic yard “cable arm” environmental clam shell style bucket

Schedule was met despite working around heavy vessel traffic of bulk and general cargo freighters, tankers, container ships, etc.

Sediments were stabilized with portland cement for upland placement as beneficial reuse

Material was dewatered and processed in accordance with disposal facility requirements and applicable water quality criteria for New York and New Jersey
