Project Highlights
New Jersey Marine Terminal
Port Newark, New Jersey
• Mechanically dredged both Port Elizabeth and Port Newark, removing upwards of 250 cubic yards of material per hour during peak operation
• Sediments were excavated using a 14 cubic yard “cable arm” environmental clam shell style bucket
• Schedule was met despite working around heavy vessel traffic of bulk and general cargo freighters, tankers, container ships, etc.
• Sediments were stabilized with portland cement for upland placement as beneficial reuse
• Material was dewatered and processed in accordance with disposal facility requirements and applicable water quality criteria for New York and New Jersey
