Highlights
I-495 Interchange
Marlboro/Southboro, Massachusetts
The project involves the construction of a full service interchange on Interstate 495 on the Marlborough/Southborough city/town line. Work in Marlborough includes the construction of the northbound and southbound exit and entrance ramps, bridges over I-495, a connector road to Crane Meadow Road and Simarano Dr., improvements to Simarano Dr. and the relocation of an existing gravity sewer line including a new access road for maintenance purposes. Project involved extensive earth moving, sheeting for supportive excavation, construction of elevated roadway on columns up to 42’ in height, and 1800 l.f. of bridge deck. All work was performed while maintaining traffic flow on adjacent 495.
