Project Highlights
Boston Convention Center
Boston , Massachusetts
Project work included 1,200 pile caps and 25,000 linear feet of grade beams as part of the Shallow Foundation Concrete Package. Challenges of the work included: project site of 28 acres with multiple contractors working side by side; Design/Build contract with an aggressive schedule; approximately 350,000 cubic yards of excavation, 21,000 cubic yards of concrete and a 2600 tons of reinforcing steel. Construction of a pile supported “T” wall retaining wall structure approximately 20 feet in height and 600 feet in length. At the peak of construction, a 120-person work force was on site. The project was completed on time while being constructed during winter conditions.
