Falmouth, Massachusetts

• Use of precast/prestressed concrete for major structural elements eliminated the need for cofferdams, dredging and excavation, thus keeping environmental disruption to a minimum.

• This was the first use of precast/prestressed sheet piles for a bridge in New England.

• The project was completed in a compact time frame from December, 1994 through November, 1995.

• The Menauhant Road Bridge was named a “Best Bridge” of 1996 by the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute.
