We are seeking a Senior Project Manager / Project Executive to lead and oversee large-scale construction projects across multiple disciplines, including structural steel and miscellaneous metals. This leadership role is responsible for driving project strategy, execution, and performance across multiple projects or programs, ensuring delivery aligns with company standards for safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance. Experience with structural steel is highly valued and considered a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive-level oversight for multiple steel erection and miscellaneous metals projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Develop and implement project execution strategies, staffing plans, and operational workflows.
- Lead and mentor project managers, superintendents, and field teams to ensure high performance and accountability.
- Oversee coordination between engineering, fabrication, procurement, and field operations.
- Ensure constructability, compliance with specifications, and alignment with project objectives.
- Drive project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and risk management.
- Review and approve major contracts, subcontracts, change orders, and procurement decisions.
- Monitor fabrication progress and supply chain performance to ensure timely delivery.
- Establish and enforce safety culture and compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Maintain strong client relationships and serve as a senior point of contact for key stakeholders.
- Lead executive-level project meetings and provide strategic updates on progress, risks, and opportunities.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, delays, and operational challenges.
- Oversee QA/QC processes, project documentation, and final project closeout deliverables.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in construction management, with significant exposure to structural steel or heavy industrial projects.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects or large-scale programs.
- Strong understanding of AISC, AWS D1.1, ASTM standards, and steel construction practices (preferred).
- Demonstrated leadership in managing teams, budgets, and complex project logistics.
- Experience with project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Ability to travel to project sites as required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in office and field environments as required.
- Frequent walking, standing, climbing, and working outdoors in varying conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Work Schedule
Standard Monday–Friday schedule (40–50 hours per week). Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.
Compensation
The expected salary range for this position is $95,000 to $200,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
