Welder (Ledyard, CT)

Multi-discipline construction company has an immediate need for an entry-level welder to perform MIG and SMAW welding, flat, vertical, and overhead. This position requires a welder who can set-up and independently operate welding machine. Some rigging knowledge preferred but not required.

Location/Schedule:

This position is located in Ledyard, CT, however, travel to various job sites may be required as needed.

Desired Candidate must be willing to work a flexible, 40-hour per week schedule with occasional night and weekend work.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 to 2 years welding experience required
• Must be able to satisfactorily pass welding skills demonstration
• Proficient in using hand and power tools
• Read and understand blueprints, work instructions, and procedures • Rigging knowledge preferred but not required• Ability to work on-site and travel to other field locations as needed
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and in work environment that may include loud noise, cold, heat, and strong smells
• Fluent use of the English language (read, speak and write)
• Must pass Pre-Employment DOT Drug and Alcohol Screening
• High School Diploma preferred • Driver’s License
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Compensation: Hourly Rate of Pay is commensurate with skills and experience
