We’re hiring a licensed Private Investigator to join our team in a high-trust, highly mobile role that blends traditional investigative work with hands-on field assignments. The ideal candidate will hold active licenses in multiple states, preferably Texas and Florida. This position involves close collaboration with the company owner and includes frequent travel and participation in outdoor activities such as fishing excursions and on-site visits. The right candidate will be resourceful, down-to-earth, and comfortable operating professionally and personally.

This role reports directly to the company owner. A background check and Non-Disclosure Agreement are required upon hire.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations to locate heirs, beneficiaries, or claimants
• Research public records, databases, and legal documents related to unclaimed property
• Perform interviews, site visits, and field inquiries
• Prepare clear, thorough investigative reports
• Travel with and provide logistical support to the company owner as needed
• Participate in outdoor and marine-based activities, including fishing trips and site visits
• Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
• Collaborate with the internal legal and investigative team while remaining effective independently

Requirements

• Valid Private Investigator licenses – preferably in Texas and Florida
• Minimum of 5 years of investigative experience
• Bachelor’s degree highly recommended
• Strong background in legal, investigative, or probate court processes preferred
• Willingness to travel nationwide on short notice
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
• High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism
• Comfortable with outdoor work, travel, and non-traditional work environments
• Physically able to travel frequently, walk on uneven surfaces (boats, docks, etc.), and board planes
